Deadline Approaching for Taking Action on Restoring Arts Funding in NJ

From your CCP Team:

Please help us get the New Jersey state government to restore funding for the arts!

Did you know that state funding for the arts comes from a portion of a dedicated motel/hotel occupancy tax mostly paid by out-of-state tourists?  Did you know that funding for the arts in New Jersey is at its lowest level since 2005?  State revenue has grown through the hard work of arts, history, and tourism businesses to make sure that New Jersey remains a great place to live, work, raise a family, and visit. It’s time to increase funding for arts, history, and tourism to 2005 levels.
Please go to ArtPride New Jersey’s Arts Action Center today to send an email to your district legislators regarding sponsorship of A2160 and S1133 to RESTORE state funding for art history and tourism. Your email will also be directed to the Assembly leadership, asking them to move A2160 forward in committee.
